Hi, we are the owners of this townhouse and are offering our large, sunny duplex home in a lovely residential section of Bushwick, Brooklyn for a one-year sublet starting summer 2025 through summer 2026. Our apartment occupies the top two floors of the 3-story house. Dates are still a little bit flexible.
The parlor level features the living room and kitchen, full bathroom and half bath, and two windowed bedrooms, one with full/double bed, one with single bed, both facing a private patio/deck over our lush garden.
On the upper floor are the primary bedroom and full bath, a laundry closet with washer and dryer, a small, quiet study, and a large art studio & music room, with a Steinway grand piano and a massive skylight. The home will easily accommodate a couple requiring work-at-home space, and/or a family with children: the studio could also function as a playroom.
Some more details: We have Minisplit AC units in every room which keeps the house cool and comfortable in summer. Central heating for winter. Both sides of the house get great sunlight: the bedrooms face east and the living room/studio face west. The garden has a Weber grill; overlooking it, we have a pleasant setup for outdoor dining in warm weather with chairs and table.
The L train and J train are both a ten minute walk away, or via the B26 bus which runs up and down our street, about 3 minutes away. The B26 also takes you door to door to the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). The L train will take you to Union Square in 20 minutes; the J will take you to the Lower East Side in about the same. Irving Park is half a block away and has a dog run, a children's playground, and a small weekly farmer's market.

We are the owners of the townhome and are both creative professionals planning a sabbatical year out of town starting next summer. We are therefor somewhat flexible about your dates. We seek subletters who will love spending time in and out of doors, take care of the place and its many plants, enjoy the piano, and be respectful co-residents of the home with our longterm tenants who live downstairs.
