Hi all!

I'm seeking a new spot for an Oct 1st move in for myself, and my very sweet cat named Twig.

My name is Alyssa, and I've been in New York for five years now. I'm a visual artist who works full-time a wonderful studio in the Bronx (that's me at work in the last pic!) It's been so great that I curretly travel from Bushwick on my days in. I do love Brooklyn, so I am mostly considering still living in the area, though, I'm always open to something closer! In general, I am casing a wide net and am flexible, so if any of the below doesn't quite fit what you had in mind, please reach out regardless!

Time frame & lease type:
Looking for Oct. 1 for a year-long lease. Open to lease take over and/or long-term sublets with a chance to renew.

Budget:
1.6k-2k - Private studio or one br
1.2-1.9k - Shared apartment (two roommates max)

Areas of interest: Bushwick, Williamsburg, Clinton hill, Bed-stuy, Greenpoint, and beyond!

Typical day at home:
On workdays, you'll probably just hear me typing and making the occational reminder call to my boss (lol)
On off days, if I'm not at an event or out with friends, I tend to listen to podcasts, do some light cooking, and maybe do a small DIY project. On Sundays I typically like to slow down, slience my notifications, and water all my plants :)

Some great attributes in past roommates that I've really appreciated are flexibility, the ability to directly communicate their needs, being proactive/solution-oriented, and, above all, being kind!

Some facts about me:

- I work a hybrid work schedule in an artist studio uptown.
- 30 years old, queer, pronouns she/they
- I have lived in NY for 5 years, and plan to stay.
- I have a very friendly cat who would be more than happy to say hi during the day, but most of her items I keep in my room, and she sleeps with me! (meaning no litter box or food bowls in common areas)
- New plant parent & grew up gardening in Maine
- Ambnvert who is happy to chat in the common space, mostly quiet in my own living area. I have a full life and am happy doing my own thing, but I also love the occasional roomie hang! :)
- I am a long-time vegan/vegetarian. No preference or judgment in regard to others' diets.
- The upside to living with an artist, we are handy! I'm great at installing/hanging/etc
- I pride myself on good communication, openness, and active listening skills should a clash in opinion arise.
- Full-time employee, good credit, and guarantor if necessary
