I am looking for two roommates to renew my lease for my 3br 1ba apartment. The apartment is the top floor of a four-story walk-up in Flatbush, Brooklyn.

The landlord lives on the ground floor of this black-owned single stair dwelling. He is very friendly and responsive.

The building is located ~7 minutes walking from Church Ave (2, 5) trains and ~15 minutes from Church Ave (B, Q). It takes me 35-40 minutes to get to Lower Manhattan on weekdays.

A lot of the furniture is in limbo as my current roommates vacate, so I would consider the bedrooms unfurnished for anyone interested.

I am currently in the Big Room, but willing to shift if you prefer more space. One Small Room is on the North side of the building with the Living Room, whereas the other two rooms share a wall on the South.

If you are a couple looking to rent TWO rooms, this arrangement offers a bit of separation/privacy!

I am looking for people who are creative, clean, chill, and communicative. I'm not a big party-goer these days, but I do enjoy hosting the occasional movie night or dinner party. While I sometimes go out dancing, I also enjoy chilling at home with the PlayStation keeping an eye on a 2-hour ragu simmer.

The ideal roommates enjoy watching a movie a couple times a month, friendly chit-chat upon crossing paths, and occasional shared dinner over sake/wine--- but otherwise we do our own thing. I don't mind guests as long as we are introduced-- and ideally no one sleeps over more than two nights.

As this is a Caribbean neighborhood, I don't mind a reasonable amount of noise after the sun sets. If you need absolute, sterile silence at night, this may not be the best match.

The leasing company wants a signed lease renewal by End of June for August 1st Lease Start. Early move-in in July is possible!!

Current lease renewal is estimated to set rent at $3475/month, which will be split according to room, along with monthly utilities (ConEd Electric + Gas).

I am a 29 year old Caribbean Canadian queer man working in an architecture office 4 days a week-- usually home around 7 or 8pm. I enjoy cooking, hosting the occasional dinner party. I sew, paint, and write when I find the time. I try to keep a regular rotation of fresh flowers throughout the apartment as I can never seem to keep a plant alive long.
