Seeking 2 housemates for a 3 bedroom apartment in Park Slope/Gowanus. We’re closest to the R/F/G trains. I go into the city a lot and it takes about 15-20 min and is a very easy commute.
The apartment is in a small, walkup building up 2 small sets of stairs. This is a very quiet building of professionals. Common spaces include a living room, dining area, balcony, kitchen and shared bathroom (2 people share). There is a dishwasher, but sadly no washer/dryer.
The 2 rooms available are on the opposite end of the apartment from mine, allowing for more privacy.
The first room available is $1600 and is the primary bedroom. It includes a full, ensuite bathroom, its own balcony and a newish built in air conditioning unit. The room also has 2 large double closets.
The second room available is $1150 and is large with 2 windows, a double closet and a built into the wall air conditioner. The person who occupies this room will share a bathroom with me. The bathroom is closest to this room.
I’m hoping to find like-minded folks who don’t leave dishes in the sink and are willing to pitch in cleaning up. This is a quiet street and building and we all enjoy the peace of our space. I prefer living with women as 2 of us have to share a bathroom.
**No pets, no smoking, no parties/heavy socializing, no working from home please!**
I am a woman in my 30s and I am the primary tenant. I am generally very quiet and conscientious. I think common areas should be neat and clean. I like to cook, dish about reality tv (Love Island!!), read, go to the movies, and I do most of my socializing outside of the apartment.
I am not a neatfreak, but I think a good rule of thumb is that common spaces should be left the way that you found them.
First month’s rent + 1 month of security is required to secure the room. (Total for largest room: $3200; smaller room: $2300). You will also need to provide a paper copy of your govt issued photo ID + proof of income.
