Park Slope is a quiet, tree-filled family neighborhood near Prospect Park. Full of cafes and casual restaurants, an easy subway ride away from other vibrant neighborhoods (and Manhattan), and great for strolling to the farmers market or buying great food from local shops (like the famous Winner Bakery). We like it because it offers a respite from the city, with a backyard and a major park nearby, it has some space to breathe and settle. Our kids grew up here and as a longtime Brooklyn resident, I find it's the best way to have an island of home in an otherwise wonderfully overwhelming city.
The house has 3 bedrooms with queen size beds. 2 1/2 bathrooms. A family room and living room/dining room. A well equipped kitchen. A backyard with grill and seating. We take care of it and hope you will too.
We would love to host families in particular, or anyone who has come for a mix of culture and exploration or work, but appreciates a little neighborhood vibe.
We are a family of four who have been in the neighborhood for 15 years. I grew up in Brooklyn. My partner grew up in Paris. We are both filmmakers. We both spent much of our lives traveling and living around the world and want to give our kids some of that experience. We love to cook, garden, listen to music and host dinners. We are very active and curious people who look for a mix of adventure and serenity when we travel. Our home in Brooklyn is geared toward a quieter life where we know our neighbors and can unwind and get a good night's sleep!
We are an owner occupied home.
Minimum rental is 5 days. We are looking for people who will take good care of our home, be respectful to the neighbors and the neighborhood.
I would want to do a zoom or meet-up before renting. A deposit of $1500 is required and a limited rental agreement.
