About the Apartment:
It’s a one bedroom bungalow in a privately gated community that feels like you’re in a jungle! It’s the largest unit in the complex and only has one shared wall, aka no neighbors above or below. The bungalow community has 16 free standing homes built back in the 30’s by one of the movie studios. Haven’t a clue who stayed in my unit, but no doubt their fame and fortune will rub off on you. Everyone here is in their 30’s and it’s a really great group of friendly but independent residents. We have laundry on site, gardeners that come once a week to make our little jungle complex beautiful and lush, and weekly trash pickup. There's a shared community space with a picnic table and grill available to whomever. The property manager lives on site and is great if you need anything. The unit has hardwood floors, a dishwasher, two a/c units, an abundance of natural light and tall ceilings.

About the Neighborhood:
If you're looking to test out LA this is a perfect location. Nestled between Los Feliz and Hollywood this neighborhood goes by many names; Thai Town, Little Armenia or East Hollywood. We're .7 miles/15 minutes from the subway/red line and .4 miles/8min walk to the M4 bus line and more. If you do bring a car we have street parking. We’re a stones throw away from Silverlake, Echo Park, Downtown, West Hollywood and more.

About This Lister

I'm Hannah! A resident of LA for 8 years who moved here from NYC. I chose to live in this neighborhood specifically because it reminded me of my time in Brooklyn and because of the direct access to public transit (which can be hard to find here). I work for an architecture firm based in Santa Monica, and I volunteer with a large graphic design non-profit so I keep busy. When not at a computer I spend my free time camping, motorcycle riding, and taking new classes (just finish welding and pottery, next up is tap dancing. Wish me luck).
My partner and I are moving in together (yay!) but are looking for a subletter to move in while we wait for my lease to wrap up. We're moving all of 3 miles away so if anything is needed at any point I'll be close by, and the property manager lives on site who I would introduce you to.
