The apartment is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment on two floors. It has an open kitchen, dining/living space and .5 bath on the first floor and 2 bedrooms and full bath on the second floor. There is a stackable washer /dryer in the kitchen.
The apartment is in a building that has was converted more than 30 years ago from what was called the "carriage house" on the farm. The other half of the "carriage house" holds an occupied rental apartment as well.
The farm is a 250 acre-- mostly working farm-- with lots of open space. Although there is limited "private" outdoor space, the entire farm is available for walks, creating a garden, art projects etc. There is also a large community farm on site that is in its second year of operation(www.fourcornerscommunityfarm.org). We and also reside on farm full time.
The villages of Red Hook and Tivoli are not too far--within biking distance. Rhinebeck, Kingston and Hudson are a short drive from the farm.
The Red Hook Elementary school is less than a half-mile from the property on Mill Road.
A view of the property from Google Earth is available here: https://bit.ly/carriagehouseapartment
My husband and I own and live on the farm. We are working bit by bit to restore it. We moved onto the farm in March 2020 after completing some renovation on the house we live in.
There is no broker involved in the rental process and we are the primary contact for tenants.
We require first months rent and a security deposit of one month's rent. ($2,000).No pets allowed.
Although we love animals, one of us is extremely allergic to cats, and many dogs do not do well with all the activity on the farm.
