Hi friends!
Available is a lofted studio apartment in an old school converted into apartments back in the 90s. The building is a short walk to Smith Street, to Gowanus, Downtown Brooklyn, and Carroll Park.
The place is available July 1 - October 1, but I can offer a little wiggle room around those dates.
The layout: When you walk in, the kitchen is to the right, the bathroom to the left. Straight ahead are the table, the couch, and the living room. Because the bed and desk are up in the loft, I think the place feels like it has separate spaces.
Storage: I would be able to make available a closet, a chest of drawers, and a portion of the kitchen cabinets. If you think you would need more space for your possessions, I'll work with you to see if I can accommodate.
Things to love about the apartment:
--Huge windows and great light
--Doorman building
--Fully furnished
--Quiet
--Clean
--Hardwood floors
Things to know about the apartment:
--Steep stairs up to the loft
--Gas stove and oven
--No pets
--No smoking
--Full bath
--In-building laundry
--In-building trash and recycling
--Closest subway stop: Bergen Street (F/G). If you don't mind a fifteen minute walk, the A, C, 2, 3, and R trains are also near.
--You will be responsible for electric, wifi, and gas bills
If this place seems like it might suit you, I would be glad to give you a tour, either in-person or on Facetime.
About me: I'm from Nashville and have been in this place since 2023. I have come to see it as my home and believe you will fall in love with it as quickly as I did. I only ask that you treat the apartment with care and leave it in the condition in which you find it.
Current Tenant
Because this apartment is rent-stabilized, there are strict requirements. They are a pain but come from the city and so are non-negotiable. On the other hand, you'd get to sublet an apartment below market rates.
The landlord would need:
--A non-refundable $500 application review fee
--Proof that your annual income is between $91,000 and $222, 000
--Proof that your assets do not exceed $254,000
--Proof that you do not own residential property within a hundred miles of the city.
I would need:
--A reference
--First month's rent before move-in
--A security deposit of $2000
