This is a large, sunny 3.5 bedroom apartment on the second floor of a two-story walk-up, off the Fresh Pond M Stop. I have the two conjoined rooms in the back, while my current roommate, who is leaving to move in with her SO, has the bedroom and office in the front half of the apartment. There is a lot of storage space. One shared closet for coats and extra cleaning items, and a private closet with overhead storage in your room. The areas are conjoined by a shared living room (new furniture + decor coming when she moves out). There is one shared bathroom and a fairly large kitchen. We have access to the backyard, which we share with the family who lives downstairs. This is a lease takeover from July-March, with possibility to renew and not a sublet.

The landlord is kind and lives in Chinatown, but she is very attentive when we need assistance. Utilities are included in the rent, except for a $100/month fee for a/c for the months they are installed. Laundry is not on site, but a laundromat is around the corner. The neighborhood has a lot of markets, cafes, and restaurants.

The room is not furnished, and there will be a few things leaving with my current roommate, I will be replacing the couch and furniture in the living room. I am open to discussing possible layouts and items you my have!

I am an artist with a drawing and cooking practice, who uses my extra room as a studio/office. I also work as a gardener and barback, so I have a hybrid work arrangement. I really appreciate a clean, organized, and well-designed space, so I’m looking forward to having someone who shares the same values. I enjoy hosting dinners, but not without communicating schedules. Life gets busy, so I find it’s easiest to have a cleaning schedule to maintain equity in the space.

I'm for the most part quiet, chill and value open communication. I view the home as an opportunity to recharge. I view myself as a social introvert, so I appreciate a good amount of solo time but also would love to share the space with someone who sees value in shared living. I've often become close friends with the people I live with, but that of course is not a requirment.

I have a lot of long term visions for the apartment. I enjoy quality furniture, but am working towards aqcuiring items.
