The primary responsibility of the Bookkeeper is to provide oversight of all financial aspects of Food and Beverage operations. This position will work with management daily to process payrolls, provide analysis of financial performance, implement and monitor controls, verify purchases/expenses and review reported revenues. All duties are to be performed in accordance with IGC policies, practices and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Basic use of QuickBooks, inventory control and basic bank functions.
• Review and provide analysis of daily operating reports, monthly financial P&L statements and operating budgets for all outlets.
• Perform basic payroll duties.
• Monitor, analyze and develop reports on F&B cost of sales, including recipe costing.
• Review requisitions for F&B related to ordering, purchases and transfers between departments/outlets; includes planning, organizing, conducting and reconciling stock and inventory of F&B items
• Perform analysis and complete projects at the request, and under the direction of the Director of Finance.
• Develop and implement process improvements.
• Review system reports, addressing potential data conflicts and/or misinformation.
• Generate accounting entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, Accounting, Finance or related business field.
• At least 5 years of finance/accounting experience required with at least 2 years in Food and Beverage financial operations.
• Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll systems (i.e. Paycom)
• Basic New York State Labor knowledge
• Demonstrate experience in cost analysis, budgeting, financial reporting and decision support.
• Working knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel and ability to analyze large sums of data, including payroll information.
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
• Must be detail oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management.
• One must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:
• Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Experience:
• Bookkeeping: 5 years (Preferred)
