We are renting out our bright and spacious 1-bedroom corner apartment in Fort Greene and the border of Downtown Brooklyn. Our home is located on the 17th floor of a luxury condo building. The building comes with amenities, including gym (Peloton, treadmills, squat bar), yoga/barre studio, workout room, rooftop lounge, and work space. One of the reasons we love living here is because it is literally blocks away from every subway line - it takes 15 minutes to get into Manhattan!
๐ช Light/View: Our apartment has floor-to-ceiling windows in both the living room and bedroom, which makes for beautiful natural light. I love watching the sun rise in the morning as well. You can look out and see the Manhattan Bridge. There are floor-to-ceiling blinds if you want to sleep in.
๐ Sleeping Setup: Brand new Queen-sized Tuft and Needle mattress (less than a year old). There is a full size wardrobe with hanging and folding space that will be yours to use.
๐ณ Kitchen Access: Full kitchen equipped with dishwasher, built-in microwave, and oven, etc. We also have a toaster oven and Nespresso machine.
๐ช Work Setup: Standing Desk with monitor
๐ฟ Bathroom Setup: Bathtub!
๐งบ Laundry: Laundry room in building (can be operated on phone, machines are new and space is clean). This is not a scary dungeon laundry room! It is super nice and all the machines can be operated from your phone. I've never had to wait for a machine.
๐ฌ Comfort: A/C! We have built in A/C units (not the ones in your window) that automatically can be set to keep the apartment nice and cool. This has been a game changer during hot summer days and nights!
The Neighborhood
- The best part! We are located in Fort Greene within walking distance of Fort Greene Park (3 blocks away) and Prospect Park (1 mile away). So close to some of the best eateries in the city - Miss Ada's, Sarghinia, Evalina, Walter's. There is a killer coffee shop next door called the Coffee Project.
- Down the street is a Whole Foods and Brooklyn Public Library. We are across from the BAM Theater.
We are a couple who moved to NYC a year ago after a decade long adventure in the Bay Area. I am completing my clinical psychology residency and my partner is a summer camp director. We are spending the summer in California and then traveling.
Current tenant
Please tell us about yourself, what you are looking for, and why you need a sublet. If this is a good fit, we will ask to schedule a meeting for us to meet you and for you to see the apartment.
We will need you to sign a sublet agreement and ask for references. Utilities are not included in the rent.
We have a lot of empathy for the apartment hunt! We were in your position a year ago.
