So you're considering a Bedstuy Summer... this will be my first away in nine years and I already miss the icecream truck song, the block parties, the sunsets, the thunderstorms, the park hangs, the stoop hangs, the roof hangs, the aimless walks, hoping on the A to the Rockaways, hoping on the A to the city, outdoor movies... it'll be great! and you can spend it coming home to (in my opinion) the perfect apartment :)

Bedroom 1: queen bed, window with fire escape access and closet.
Bedroom 2: full size bed, two windows, fire escape access and closet.
(either can be used as an office, with a foldable desk)

Living Room and Kitchen: open concept with a little espresso machine that takes ground beans or pods, electric kettle with temp control for all your pour over/matcha needs, air fryer, blender for whatever as long as it’s not white lotus, and a sleek Aarke for the sparkling water enthusiast.
There's a projector for movie night, a record player and an aux cord, hue lights in all the fixtures, and some very easylife seating.

It’s a 4th floor walk up, that’s three flights up with no elevator and this is the only con of the place (honestly!).
I carry my bike up but know some neighbours leave theirs locked inside the fence downstairs, there’s also a citibike dock for an extremely convenient whip.

The apartment gets light all day, but best light is sunset, which in summer means you’ve finished your work day, you’re winding down in the Eames Lounge, you’re listening to a record and sipping whatever your EOD bev is as a window sized beam of gold lights moves along the wall… Maybe you hear a block party in the distance, maybe it’s just the birds, maybe it’s the motorcyclist who got famous on TikTok for blasting Carly Rae Jepson in SoHo but when he’s in Bedstuy it’s going to be jazz or motown classics. You can stay in and set the lights to whatever your vibe is, or you can stroll down stairs, do a block loop and see what’s up on Tompkins, or up to HVK.. it’s your summer and mi casa es su casa.


neighbour notes! some of the people in the building have lived here since before I was alive, please respect the building as a home where kids have grown up, grandkids visit, and we are guests. I have built a very solid relationship with my neighbours in and around the building and respecting them is a priority.

(open to shorter lengths of stay but would prefer to keep turn over to a minimum so will be prioritizing longer)

transportation:
- close to A/C trains (7 minute walk to the the Kingston Throop C train, 15min to the Nostrand or Utica A)
- northbound M43 bus right out front

- free parking available in the neighbourhood

nearby: 

-many cafes 2-5 minutes walk
-book stores and local shops 5 minute walk
-restaurants/bars are a 2-10 minute walk
-laundromat is a 5 minute walk 

-grocery store is a 5 minute walk
