More about the setup: I love this apartment more than I've ever loved an apartment. The north and south facing windows spread across the living area and the bedroom, and it being on the sixth and top floor make it a sunshine soaked, cross breeze heaven. This gigantic one bedroom is on a super quiet street in Brooklyn, the neighbors are kind and friendly. It's a pre-war building, so there's none of the flimsy new construction going up around here, and it was flipped when I moved in, so the appliances are new outside of my own use. Washer and dryer in unit (unheard of), dishwasher (it's tiny but still unheard of), there's a giant bathtub in here! There's FOUR CLOSETS. There's a massive island in the kitchen, it's perfect for hosting - who in NY can say that?!? Dammit, I love this apartment...
The situation: I'm leaving NYC to be closer my parents and it's less costly to peace out with three months left than to break the lease altogether - real estate, ammi right? The monthly rent is currently $2,222, but you'd be doing me a favor even at a reduced price. If you'd like to stay in the apartment after Oct 31, I am happy to do a full year sublease at the full monthly rent price (it will increase but it is rent stabilized so it will not go up that much).
Learning tech consultant by day, painter sculptor by night. I'm ridiculously clean, yes that was a brag. I'm also realizing there've been no problems with bugs, roaches, etc. in this apartment, and I keep the windows open through the spring and fall. (It's late May and mild right now and my windows haven't been closed in months). There are sturdy screens, so if you have pets, they're safe! The building has an email ticketing system if something needs attention and they are very fast. There are a few supers who work the buildings on the block (all owned by the same landlords) and they're amazing. I've made friends with a lot of characters who seem to always be walking around, making sure things are okay.

Three cats currently reside in the apartment (it will be cleaned thoroughly before move in - I'm allergic so I am VERY clean). A dog isn't currently approved but we can arrange it, no problem.
