About the Space

This is a bright and functional private room in a cozy 3-bedroom apartment located on the 5th floor (walk-up, no elevator). The room has direct access to a large private terrace perfect for relaxing, working outdoors, or enjoying Brooklyn sunsets.

The room includes:

50-inch Smart TV

Air conditioning

Large window + natural light from the terrace

Desk and chair (great for working from home)

Shared bathroom (with one other person)

No closet, but there’s under-bed storage, movable boxes, and hangers behind the door

Several plants — just water them once a week 🌱

Photos of the room are current. Photos of common areas were taken earlier (NYC weather didn’t help lately), but the space still looks the same!

The Apartment

You’ll be living with three Colombian professionals in their 40s–50s: a restaurant owner, a lighting designer, and a DJ. It’s a calm, creative, and respectful home very homey, not a party spot.

Everyone cooks often and keeps shared spaces clean

House Rules (please read):

Bathroom must be cleaned weekly

Common areas cleaned monthly (schedule posted on fridge)

No parties

No guests in the room without prior notice (unapproved guests = $100 fine)

No hard drug use

Smoking and 420 allowed only on the terrace

Dishes must be washed immediately after use

Respect and consideration for others is essential

The Neighborhood

This part of Bed-Stuy is one of the least gentrified areas in Brooklyn, with a strong sense of community and history. Many of the original neighbors still live here, and the area is majority Afro-Caribbean. It's a calm, real Brooklyn vibe.

Grocery stores and restaurants are in the area but a few blocks away

The best laundromat is one block from the building (there’s a washer in the building, but I recommend the laundromat — I’ll leave a prepaid card for you to use)

Subway: Ralph Ave (C line) is one block away — super easy for commuting

This sublet is for serious, respectful, and independent adults.
Any disrespectful or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of the agreement and loss of the deposit.
