DoClay is looking for enthusiastic, experienced ceramic instructors to join our teaching team! Whether your speciality is handbuilding, wheel throwing, or both - we want to hear from you!
Our studio offers a 6 to 8-week class structure with a flexible syllabus that gives you the freedom to cater to your students’ interest while still following a general outline.
We’re especially interested in teachers who can bring creativity and clarity to beginner and all-level classes AND who have experience (or interest) in developing/teaching intermediate or advanced offerings. If you’ve taught more specialized topics like teaware, surface design, or decorative dinnerware - let us know!
What We Offer:
A supportive and welcoming studio environment
Opportunities to teach multi-week classes as well as one-time workshops and private classes
Room to develop and teach advanced or specialty topics
A storage shelf + bin (if you are teaching a current semester) and a $100 monthly firing stipend
What We’re Looking For:
Friendly, engaging teachers who enjoy sharing their passion for clay.
Teachers who are consistently present throughout the duration of class, and able to balance one-on-one support with group instruction
Available for a short demo (wheel or handbuilding) with our studio managers as part of the interview process
We’re excited to grow our class offerings and community — and we hope you’ll be part of it!
