Are you looking to simplify your wardrobe, prepare for a move, or transition between seasons? Or are you looking to find some control in a chaotic closet? Make the most of your tiny NYC closet space? I would love to help you save time and reduce stress, and enjoy your closet again.

I can offer multiple services and would love to discuss exactly what you need in a consultation before we begin. A project can be as simple as folding and hanging some clothes for a few hours or a weeks long overhaul project, evaluating what can stay and go in a newly laid out system.

1. Closet Organization:
-Decluttering: Sorting through clothing, shoes, and accessories to identify items to keep, donate, sell, or discard.
-Categorizing: Grouping clothing by type, season, or color to create a functional layout.
-Storage Solutions: Implementing space-saving tools such as bins, shelves, hangers, dividers, and labeling systems for better organization.
-Personalized Systems: Creating a sustainable system that fits the client’s lifestyle, habits, and space constraints.

2. Packing Clothes for Storage:
-Seasonal Rotation: Carefully packing off-season or infrequently worn items using appropriate materials (e.g., vacuum-sealed bags, garment boxes) to protect against damage, dust, and pests.
-Labeling & Inventory: Labeling storage containers and optionally creating a digital inventory for easy retrieval.
-Storage Recommendations: Advising on optimal storage locations (e.g., under-bed bins, off-site storage units).

3. Garment Care:
-Minor Repairs: Mending small holes, replacing buttons, fixing loose seams, or reattaching hooks and clasps.
-Shoe & Bag Repair Coordination: Coordinating with cobblers or leather care specialists to repair and restore accessories.
-Labeling & Fabric Education: Educating you on garment labels, fabric types, and care instructions to prevent unintentional damage.
-Tailoring & Alterations: Performing fittings and taking notes, coordinating alterations with tailors—hemming, taking in/out seams, resizing, or modernizing older garments.

4. Selling Older Clothes:
-Item Evaluation: Assessing clothes for resale value based on brand, condition, and trend.
-Sales Preparation: Cleaning, photographing, and pricing items for sale.
-Platform Management: Assisting with selling through consignment shops, online marketplaces (like Poshmark, Depop), or organizing in-person sales.
-Donation Coordination: Handling or facilitating the donation of unsold or lower-value items to charities.

all services will be $60/hr plus materials- storage boxes, hangers, archival tissue paper, etc. Two hour minimum. For selling services, I would expect no commission on top of my hourly fee

I'm based in Brooklyn but happy to work with you in the 5 boroughs. Also happy to work in the greater tri-state area, but will need to discuss separate reimbursement for transportation.

I've been providing these services for years professionally but not as an independent contractor with private clients, so I'm excited to begin building this business!

Background and Expertise

I am a union costumer for film and television with a masters in dress and textile history and a certificate in costume and textile collections management.

I am trained to organize clothing for everyday use up to museum standards. I have worked with historical textiles and high end vintage. I have organized clothing for ease in finding and selecting pieces daily, as well as packaged clothing for long term storage, particularly valuable pieces in archival quality packing materials.

I have set up and maintained sales on Etsy, Depop, and Poshmark, as well as set up consignments with well established vintage vendors and trade in stores like Beacon's Closet and TheRealReal. I understand the market for items and where to best turn a profit for various garments.
