Hello! Our family is traveling for the month of August and we are offering our 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home for short-term rent. We’re the actual owners of this condo and are looking for responsible people who would take care of it as much as we do. We're leaving on July 30th and planning to come back on August 31st. Rent is $4200 per month.
The apartment is cozy, quiet, and clean with lots of thoughtful touches and decor. It faces south so expect lots of natural light. It’s located on the 3rd floor of a 4-story walkup building. The kitchen has a dishwasher and is fully equipped—we cook a lot and this kitchen is a joy to spend time in. The living room has a TV with a Sonos soundbar, a balcony, a bookshelf with a record player, and plenty of records. It also has a desk (since we mostly work from home we have two fully equipped workspaces). The main bedroom has lots of space for clothes and has the main bathroom (with a standing shower) attached to it. We use the second bedroom as a workspace during the day and during the night our 15-month son sleeps there. However, we can move his crib to our storage so you can turn this bedroom into anything else you want while you’re here. The second bathroom has a bathtub if you want to use it.
You can stream movies and shows to the TV using Apple TV or Google Chromecast and use the Sonos system to stream music. There are built-in AC units in all rooms and they work super silently.
The building was built in 2022 so everything is new. It’s situated on a quiet street and has only 8 units so it’s small and quiet. All apartments are owner occupied so it feels like a great community. The building has a rooftop that you can use.
The neighborhood itself has so much to offer—from parks and playgrounds (15 minutes to both Herbert Von King Park and Saratoga Park) to restaurants and coffee shops (restaurants and bars on Malcolm X Ave are just minutes away). J train takes you to Williamsburg in under 20 minutes and to Manhattan in under 30 minutes. Big bonus if you’re driving a car—there are always plenty of parking spots in front of the building, a very rare case in New York. We own a car and for the last year we never had to park on any other block, sometimes it really feels like a private driveway here.
If you still have any questions, please let us know. We’d be happy to show you the place in person or via video call – just let us know your preference.
We are a married couple originally from Lithuania, both working in the creative fields. We're raising a 15-month old son and we have lived in New York for 10 years.
Would love to meet either in person or via video call.
We'll consider pets case-by-case.
