Rooms for Sublet
I'm looking to sublet my room while I'm away for the summer. It is a medium sized room with a twin-sized bed in a 3-bedroom, 1-bath apartment. The sublet includes shared use of the kitchen, bathroom, and living room. You're also welcome to play my instruments and read my books. The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a walkup building with a laundromat two blocks away.
Close to the GW Bridge, the area is lively and convenient as can be. Grocery stores, restaurants, and the A and 1 trains are all within a few blocks of the building. A short commute to City College, Columbia Nursing School, Barnard, Teachers College, and Manhattan School of Music. Easy access (about 30 minutes on the A train) to midtown. Walking distance from multiple parks, including Fort Tryon Park and Fort Washington Park.
You will be sharing the apartment with my two roommates. We are all polite/respectful, but live pretty independent lives, so the best fit would be a subtenant who values privacy, peace, and quiet. Must be BIPOC/LGBTQ+ friendly.

My name is Bea (she/her). I'm an artist, musician, puppeteer, but mostly ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I don't have any pets currently, but I'm what they call an animal lover and I foster cats sometimes. If you have cat allergies, unfortunately this is probably not the best room for you. I vacuum and dust regularly, but there are bound to be a few leftover cat hairs.
My 2 other roommates are also femmes in their 20s-30s, working in the arts and education.
I grew up in NYC and and have lived in this apartment for over 3 and 1/2 years. I hope that this room will be as cozy and peaceful for you as it is for me!

Rental requirements
Female, 30 years old and up preferred. No couples. No smoking or vaping. Must be willing to adhere to Covid precautions. Please share your vaccination status when you inquire.
-My share of the rent is $810 per month, and the partial months are prorated. So the total cost, from June 24th to August 15th, is $1,400.
-Electric/gas tends to be around $35-$40 per person. It can get up to $60-$70 in the summer when the air conditioners are in use.
-If you would like to use it, WiFi is $30/month (so, 52 for the whole stay).
The total $1,400 rent + WiFi (if you decide to use the WiFi) + a $405 security deposit is required before move-in. We will also ask that you sign a sub-lease agreement before you move in.
