I provide mentorship and tutoring in both creative and academic writing for students, professionals, and individuals aspiring to develop their craft. While I am based in Prospect Heights (Brooklyn), I am happy to travel within reason or go remote via Zoom.

I don't expect everyone to love writing as much as I do. As long as there is curiosity, I can do the rest of the work.

Remote pricing is less than in-person, though I find the latter to be more effective.

About this Lister

Brandon Borcoman is a lifelong educator who attempts to cultivate the whole student through the craft of writing. In addition to his academic career, he also owns a wine company that is focused primarily on consumer education. When Brandon is not reading or writing, you can find him on the Fort Greene tennis courts.

Background and Expertise

I am currently an adjunct professor at The City College of New York (CCNY), where I teach freshmen and sophomores. I am also pursuing a PhD in Comparative Literature at the CUNY Graduate Center. I have tutored and/or taught for my entire adult life. My own research is concerned with the intersection of Anglo-American modernism and 20th century French thought. I am also a published poet.
