Join Sasha Botanica for an herbal summer skincare workshop, Saturday July 19th from 2pm-5pm at Heartsong Sanctuary in High Falls NY. Summer is a time of sun, heat, and outdoor adventures—making it the perfect season to nourish and protect the skin with plant medicine. In this hands-on workshop, we will explore the art of herbal skincare, focusing on infused oils, soothing balms, and healing salves made with summer’s abundant herbs at Heartsong Sancturary.
Together, we’ll harvest fresh yarrow to distill, creating yarrow hydrosol, a cooling and protective remedy for summer skin. We will also craft a healing salve using herbal-infused oils, learning the foundational skills to make your own plant-based skincare at home.
Each participant will go home with a 2oz spray bottle of freshly distilled yarrow hydrosol and a healing salve, infused with the wisdom of the plants and the collective energy of the group.
Space is limited. Register in advance to reserve your spot!
This workshop is an invitation to slow down, work with our hands, and gather the green together - honoring the gifts of the land and the traditions of herbal folk wisdom.
Sasha Botanica is an artist and herbalist in the Hudson Valley who offers hands-on workshops that are more than just skill-building sessions—they are immersive experiences designed to foster creativity, curiosity, and a deeper relationship with the natural world.
Sasha’s work is rooted in the rhythms of nature, embracing the ever-changing cycles of the seasons. Each product and workshop reflects the unique offerings of the land at a given time. Beyond herbalism as a practice of healing, Sasha sees it as an immersive, sensory experience. The scent of fresh mugwort, the vibrant hues of goldenrod-dyed fabric, the silky feel of an herbal-infused salve—each interaction with plants is an invitation to slow down and engage with the natural world through touch, smell, taste, and intuition. This approach transforms herbalism into a creative and embodied practice, encouraging deeper awareness and appreciation for the gifts of the earth.
