Our family house in St Andrews, New Brunswick is now available for remote working, retreat hosting or holidays when we are not able to be there.

With six double bedrooms and four bathrooms across more than 4000 sq ft, it is ideal for a small group of colleagues looking to collaborate, for individuals looking to host small writing or other creative retreats or for families seeking low season summer accommodation near the sea and with a pool. The well equipped main kitchen is open to a large sitting room and to the pool. There is a separate enclosed sitting room which offers a peaceful view of the garden with an open fire for chilly days. There are ample independent spaces for working or collaborating and excellent Wifi. The house has all the usual practicalities (two washing machines, two dryers) and is fully furnished.

The house is somewhat apart from set back from a quiet road outside the local town of St. Andrews New Brunswick, in large mature gardens with a pool contained within a patio area with a BBQ and outdoor seating.

Five minutes drive from the house, or a pleasant 20 minute walk along the sea road, brings you to the centre of town. St Andrews, New Brunswick is a peaceful, charming town which offers the ideal respite from the pace and noise of the modern world – perfect for whale watching, sailing, swimming, deep sea fishing, stand-up paddle boarding and sea kayaking. The town has a multi-award winning golf course, good restaurants, excellent coffee, tennis courts and a library as well as the usual grocery stores, health food shops, craft boutiques etc. There are also a number of tourist attractions - an aquarium, historic houses, a museum, the celebrated Kingsbrae Gardens etc.

The house is approximately 90 minutes drive from Fredericton and Saint John airports, 2 hours from Bangor, ME and 4 hours from Portland, ME. For international travellers, it is 5-6 hours from Boston or Halifax airports.

My family has been initially living, and more recently spending summers, in St. Andrews for 7 generations.
My sisters and I are now spread across three continents (I live in London, England) and St. Andrews is where we come back together with our families as often as we can. Peacock Farm is our family house and my father lives nearby as well.

The space is looked after by people who live locally who are responsible for cleaning, pool maintenance and will meet you at the property and show you around etc as well as deal with any practical issues during your stay. However, I will be your contact person until arrival.
