Looking for 1 roommate to join our 1-year lease and share our 3 bedroom, 1 bath apartment in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. It's located on the 3rd floor of a walkup (2 flights plus one small step at vestibule). 2.5 long blocks to Prospect Park B / Q, 1 long + 1 short block to Sterling St 2 / 5, across the street from B49, and 2 short blocks to B43 / B44. Our block is on a residential stretch of Rogers Avenue.
The room measures approx 7' x 14', not including the little entryway. It will be unfurnished, with double-wide closet, inset radiator, and room in the window for an a/c unit. Ceilings are 9'. The window faces east over Rogers Avenue, so there is a bit of traffic sound. It receives direct morning light and stays amply bright throughout the day. Currently there are dark drawstring blinds installed. It shares a wall with the bedroom belonging to my roommate Bea.
Hardwood floors throughout. Bathroom, shared by all, has a tub. Washer/dryer in unit. In the kitchen there is a gas stove, a good deal of cabinet space, a little counter space. There are two narrow, shared closets. The living room is spacious but there is not a lot of storage. We all prefer to keep our things mainly to our own rooms here. A roomy porch spans the back face of the apartment, overlooking the block's lush, lovely interior courtyard.
Utilities, including wi-fi, are split 3 ways and range from ~$100-150 per person. Given its dimensions and the modest storage in the rest of the apartment, this room would be ideal for someone without a ton of stuff.
You'd be living with Bea (she/her) and myself, nym (she/her):
Bea is 29 and a researcher and coder who works outside the apartment most days, but will sometimes WFH. She is looking to live with someone clean, considerate, and easy-going.
i'm 32 and work in healthcare. i spend a good deal of time at home when not at work, cooking and making calmer sorts of music (my room is on the opposite side of the apartment).
our home space is very important to us: we're looking for a roommate who values an easeful, quiet atmosphere, and who pays rigorous attention to keeping common areas neat and clean. we prefer to keep the amount of stuff populating common areas as minimal as possible.
This has been a mutually supportive, all queer/trans household for the past few years, and we would strongly prefer to continue living with another queer/trans person who hopefully finds themself at a similar stage in life. We are only interested in living with people who also believe in a free Palestine.
hello future roommate ! please write us with a bit about yourself, what brings you to the neighborhood, and what you value in your home space - talk to you soon ♡
as above :-')
