I live in a pretty large, furnished 2 bed/1 bath in Chelsea and am looking for a new roommate to take over the second bedroom! The move in date is flexible (July 19 - August 3).

The apartment is one block from the 23rd street A/C/E stop and two blocks from the 1/2/3 stop.

It is an elevator building and the apartment is on the 17th floor, so it gets a lot of great, natural light. There's a live in super who is very nice and responsive, in-building laundry and recycling, a trash chute on every floor, and dedicated mail storage rooms in the lobby. Finally, there is a big roof with a beautiful view of the Hudson, Hudson yards, the Empire State Building, and downtown. I've had a lot of dinner parties and group hangs up there and it's a great place to watch the sunset.

Your bedroom has central air, a large window that lets in a lot of light, a closet, and enough room for a queen size bed and a desk (that's my current roommate's setup). My current roommate will be leaving their furniture, so it can come furnished or unfurnished.

The living room is spacious with a fairly large kitchen that comes with a dishwasher. It has central air and its own large window. The living/dining area is already fully furnished and there is a good amount of spare storage in the living room closets you are free to use!

I'm looking for a kind and considerate housemate who is relatively clean. If you enjoy cooking or eating home-cooked food, that's a plus!

Final notes:
- The only utilities are electricity (variable) and internet ($17/month)
- The lease ends May 2026 with the option to renew

I'm a 30 year old Software Engineer who works at a nonprofit! I work from the office most days, so if you work from home it's kind of a perfect setup.

I'm outgoing and sociable, but not a huge partier. I like to have people over once in a while for board games or for dinner, and will throw a low-key house party probably 3x a year, so I'm happy with a roommate who has a similar disposition.
