Looking for someone kind, grounded, and responsible to share a serene, spacious home nestled in the woods — ideal for artists, writers, or anyone craving calm and beauty. The house is set on 40 acres of forest, with a garden, winter mountain views, and beauty through all seasons.

The space is a lovingly maintained 1930s home with 3BR/2BA, mid-century details, hardwood floors, tons of natural light, and a generous layout: two living rooms, a dining room, full open kitchen, in-unit laundry, and a large front porch. There’s a big yard with a veggie and medicinal garden, and plenty of space to enjoy nature.

For Rent:
- Two private bedrooms (furnished or unfurnished, currently set up as in photos one with a queen bed and the other as an office)
- A large downstairs art studio / office / flex space with full bathroom and kitchenette (partially furnished, optional)
- Shared use of all common areas and outdoor spaces
- Parking for one car

About the arrangement:
This is my home, but I’ll be living mostly in Brooklyn for the next two years for an art program. I’ll only be up occasionally on weekends and school breaks, so you’ll have the house to yourself most of the time. I'm looking for someone who will treat the space with care and enjoy the beauty of this home/land/community.

Location & Nearby:
The house is just 7 minutes from Ellenville (groceries, cafes, farmer’s market, restaurants, acupuncture, gym, trails), and 15 minutes to both Mountaindale and Kerhonkson. We’re close to Sam’s Point, the Shawangunk Ridge, and Minnewaska — endless hikes, waterfalls, and wild beauty. You’ll need a car — the house is not walkable to town, and the space is only accessible by three steps up to the porch.
