About This Lister

I'm a professor living in Park Slope with my partner and two young children. We've lived in this apartment for three years and travel to Vermont during the summer to visit Grandma :)

The building is a four-story classic brownstone with one apartment on each floor. Our neighbors are lovely and we're lucky to have strong, trusting relationships with each of them.

Our apartment is on the top floor (3rd floor walkup) with lots of light, skylights, and fully-equipped kitchen.

The neighborhood is a dream. A few blocks from Prospect Park, the Botanic Garden, Public Library, Zoo, cafés, restaurants, and 20 minutes to downtown Manhattan by subway. Quiet, quaint, and close to everything!

From the sublease agreement:

IV. SECURITY DEPOSIT. The Sublessor shall require a Security Deposit in the amount of $1000. The first $500 will be paid at the time
this agreement is executed and the balance will be paid at the beginning of the term (“Security Deposit”) by the Sublessee.
An in-person inspection with the Sublessee and the Sublessor shall be conducted at the beginning of the rental period and
at the end. Any damage or repairs needed at the end of the term due to the Sublessee shall be credited against the Security Deposit.
Any reason for retaining a portion of the Security Deposit shall be explained in writing when returning the funds to the Sublessee. The
funds shall be sent to the Sublessee within seven days after the Sublease has ended with the Sublessee vacating the Premises along
with their possessions.
