[DATES FLEXIBLE] - I could extend up until August 1, and could bring the start date up to one week earlier. I can also shorten this by 1-2 weeks depending on the demand.
This listing is for 1 bedroom in a 3-bedroom apartment. You would be living with my lovely roommates that are used to subletters.
Dates:
5 weeks from Sunday, June 15 to Monday, July 21. See note on flexibility above.
Location:
Humboldt Street & Montrose Ave. Right by the Montrose L subway station. This is a 3rd floor walk-up.
Kitchen:
Fully equipped with all the supplies/tools/etc to cook your own food. We also have an 8-person dining table. Dishwasher, fridge, freezer, pantry space, blender, deep sink.
Living Room:
Seating area with couch and chairs and BlueTooth speaker system, and TV with all the streaming apps. Dining table. Enormous 6'x6' window.
Bathrooms:
One full bathroom (toilet, bath/shower, and sink). The other bathroom is just a toilet. They're both clean and have good storage.
Bedroom:
Roughly 9'x11' floorplan. Comes with a queen-sized bed, a desk, monitor, task chair, and closet with hangers. It's comfortable enough to live and work from, including WFH. The room also has two massive 6'x6' windows with blinds and sheer curtains. The room has its own thermostat with heat and A/C.
Building:
A beautiful pre-war (this means high ceilings!) building with only two units on each of its five floors. The basement contains a gym and laundry facilities. Laundry is paid via app, so no need to fumble for quarters and dimes! The building also has rooftop access; the roof has some seating and a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline.
Utilities:
You will pay all utilities as I cannot control your usage while you're here. For reference, Wifi is always $22/mo per person; Electric varies but was $80/mo per person last month. There are not other utilities that aren't covered by the landlord. The Wifi speed is 274.64 mbps download and 11.52 mbps upload (per the test I just ran).
Hi we're Vip (M-25), Julia (F-27) and Duke (M-27). We're all young professionals that travel often. The three of us place intention and adventure at the core of our lives, which has helped us cultivate a lovely living environment! We hope to find a subletter that shares the same values to hold down the fort while we’re embracing travel.
The room available for sublet is Duke's. This is the largest of the three rooms.
Current Tenants
Deposit of ~50% required to reserve the room after a tour (virtual or in-person). The remaining ~50% will be due upon your arrival on day 1 of the sublease. We will also withhold $800 as a security deposit that will be returned to you upon leaving the apt, minus any damages. We've never not given back 100% of the deposit, and this is our 12th time subletting the room.
We typically draw up a simple 1-2 page contract with all our subletters so everything agreed upon is written down and unambiguous.
