Spend a week in my 2 bedroom apartment in a quiet historic barrel limestone building on a tree lined street in Ridgewood! The apartment is on the second floor of a 2-family building, with my landlords, an older couple, living downstairs. We maintain a friendly rapport and observe quiet time after 9pm.
The layout of the 2 bedroom is a floor-through railroad with a guest room off to the side. The first bedroom is in the middle of the apartment, with a queen sized memory foam bed. Second bedroom has a separate entrance from hallway, full sized memory foam bed, desk, window. Small guestroom does not have AC.
We have ACs inside both ends of the apartments, box fans, and 1 rotating fan.
The apartment is set up with two offices/workspaces, one inside the front room facing the street. The other desk-work space is in the library, which also has an exercise bike and opens to the living room, dining room, kitchen, balcony.
Hardwood floors, tall ceilings, bay windows facing the quiet street on one side, and lush backyard gardens in the back. The kitchen is fully set up for cooking, and leads to a balcony, which can seat 2. A pink tub in the bathroom invites a nice relaxing soak.
Ridgewood has bookstores, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, nightlife just a short walk away. Including Topos and Topos too, Rooted Refuge acupuncture, Super Pollo, Norma’s, Highland and Forest Park, lush cemeteries….
5 min walk to M train at Fresh Pond Road (door to door, 40 minutes to Lower East Side)

I am a writer and educator living in Ridgewood for over 8 years. Typically I live here with my small dog and my partner. Full of plants, light, and classical music. It is a sanctuary for me. I keep a tidy home, have lots of books and magazines, and enjoy listening to the birdsongs you can hear in spring and summer. I'll be traveling for work this week, but otherwise you might find me waving hello to my neighbors on a walk around Ridgewood.
I am a tenant
A video call to show you the place and meet. Then I will ask for a government ID, 450$ in advance, the other $450 due on first day of rental. A $500 deposit is required and will be returned within a week of your stay if the sublease agreement is adhered to.
