We’re looking for a responsible, respectful person—or a couple—to live in our home while we’re based in the city for work. This is our full-time home, one we’ve poured a lot of love, care, and energy into, and while we’re not able to be there right now, we plan to return when life allows. In the meantime, we’re hoping to find someone who will take good care of it as if it were their own.
The house is in historic Hurley, a quiet and quaint little town in the Hudson Valley, just five minutes from Uptown Kingston. A peaceful little town steeped in history and dotted with old stone homes—a truly calming atmosphere, yet close to all the amenities, restaurants, bars, and breweries that Kingston and the Catskills have to offer. It really is the best of both worlds: country charm with easy access to community and culture.
The home itself is furnished and move-in ready. It has three bedrooms—or two plus an office—along with a cozy living room, a finished basement, a laundry room, and a workshop. Out back, there’s a large deck that looks out over a sweet backyard filled with tons of spring flowers and berries and plants. All the appliances are new, and utilities are included. We also have a handful of houseplants that need watering, and the yard appreciates a bit of care and attention through the seasons.
We’re open and flexible on the length of stay, but we do ask for a minimum commitment of three months. Let us know your date range and a little about yourself—what you're looking for, why this might be a good fit. We're excited to find someone who appreciates this space as much as we do.
We’re an easy-going couple currently living in the city—I’m in publishing and my husband is a school teacher and an artist/musician. We’ve put a lot of heart into making our upstate home feel peaceful, cozy, and lived-in, and we’re hoping to find someone who values that kind of space. Ideally, you’re someone who appreciates quiet, nature, and a slower pace, and who will treat the home with the same care and respect we do. Whether you're a writer, remote worker, artist, or just looking for a restorative place to land, we’d love to hear from you.
