Room available in a lovely 1,300 sq foot 2 bedroom apartment. Comes with beautiful hardwood floors, charming original light fixtures, in-unit washer and dryer, large bathroom with separate shower and tub, and functional kitchen.
Building houses 7 other units and is located on a relatively quiet side street in Little Bangladesh with easy access to Koreatown, Silver Lake, and Larchmont. Many grocery stores are nearby, like Jon’s (only a few blocks away), H-K Market, Vons, and Ralph’s.
You’d be living with one roommate, a graduate student, who likes a clean space but also enjoys company and doesn’t mind a party.
The common space is very large and relatively unadorned—more furnishings would be welcome.

Hello! I’m Ben, a 28 year old PhD candidate writing a dissertation and teaching in Irvine. Because of my work, I spend a lot of time reading and writing in the apartment.
Beyond school, I like watching movies and listening to music (I have a bit of a CD and cassette collection of noise and other experimental stuff). I like to keep the space neat and clean up after cooking.
My cat Sneaker lives here with me. She is generally quite sweet but has rather strict boundaries.
I’m looking for a roommate who is affable and considerate and (hopefully) shares an interest in music and art.

You would likely be added to the lease as a resident (but not a lessee). You’d have a chance to renew the lease as a lessee in January if the apartment suits you!
I (the current resident) am very available this summer to schedule showing times.
Pets Policy
A cat named Sneaker lives here. She is generally friendly but takes some time to get used to other cats. Otherwise, pets are allowed, though there is a small fee every month that management requires.
