APARTMENT:
The apartment is incredibly spacious and cozy. It's 1940s California bungalow style: curved pink exterior walls, hardwood floors, interior cornices adorned with deer and sun engravings.
There is 1 large bedroom, and an open floor plan in the living room and dining room. Ample room for a couple and co-working.
Clean and pet-free. Kitchen fully stocked. Comfy couch with projector + Apple TV. Nice balcony with view of the city and trees.
The balcony doors open up all the way — on a nice summer day, it's the best to get a warm breeze in the apartment!
We'll clear some space for your belongings and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Bathroom and kitchen supplies included.
ROOM DETAILS:
1. We have a King Organic bed. There is a desk in the bedroom if a second person needs to work from home.
2. Dining room can be used as an office in the day time. The table extends out from a 4 seater to a 6 seater.
I'm a furniture designer so lots of my creations are scattered about the living room.
3. Kitchen is super well stocked. We are both very into cooking ; )
4. Washer/dryer in the building.
LOCATION:
Very quiet neighborhood but extremely close to everything one could need!
There's tons of restaurant and bars on the Grand Ave/Lakeshore Area.
Two blocks away is the beloved Lake Merritt, which has a 3 mile trail that wraps around it for daily walks or picnics.
Whole Foods is also two blocks walk, and there are many other groceries nearby.
This street is perfectly situated above the hustle-and-bustle, but it is very neighborhoody and family-oriented up here.
There's *the best* farmer's market on Saturdays at Lake Merritt, right outside the much-loved art deco movie theatre.
We go on endless walks here looking at what is in bloom and the cool 1940s-60s buildings — it's one of the best parts.
COMMUTE:
You can jump on Bart to San Francisco easily — the train station is a 10-minute walk, or it's a 20-30-minute car ride into the city.
Let us know if you need parking ahead of time.
I am a furniture designer and artist originally from NY, and my husband works in technology originally from Bulgaria.
We love music, cooking, and exploring all the beauty of California. Summer is the best for river hopping and hiking!
We normally live in this apartment and expect the subletter to take care of the space as if it were their own! We love our apartment and hope you do too.
