We're looking for a special person to join the news team at the River Reporter, a community newspaper covering local life, government, and the environment on both sides of the Upper Delaware River. We cover three counties with a total population of 188,000 across two states, New York and Pennsylvania.
We're looking for someone who cares deeply about their community, who believes in the importance of accurate, unbiased information for the strength of our civic institutions, someone who's got the instincts to know an important story when they see one and the determination to follow wherever it leads.
We'd be a great fit for anyone looking for a place to do meaningful journalistic work on the local level in a flexible and supportive atmosphere. A taste for environmental reporting, accountability journalism or both is a plus.
Applicant needs great writing skills, photography capabilities, basic experience working with online websites and content management systems.

Responsibilities
Conduct thorough research and fact-checking to ensure accuracy in reporting.
Write and edit articles adhering to AP style and publication standards.
Utilize photography skills to capture compelling images that enhance storytelling.
Manage content using various content management systems.
Collaborate with editors and other reporters to develop engaging stories.
Engage with audiences through social media platforms to promote articles and gather feedback.
