I live in a large Craftsman with a bright, second floor furnished loft space with private bathroom that will be sitting empty for July/August. The rest of the house, kitchen, and large yard, are shared spaces with me and occasionally my mature, independent and very personable teenage son (he's here every other week). The neighborhood is super easy living -- treelined streets, walkable, bikeable to shops, parks, and the metro. Ideally I'd like someone to rent for the full two months but am also open to discussing a weekly rate. I can send additional photos of the shared living spaces upon request.

I work at a boutique interior design company in Echo Park. Originally from Austin, I've lived on the east side of LA for over 20 years. I'm 54, divorced and have two sons, one is heading off to college this fall - hence the too large house. I garden, am into food/cooking, nature, yoga, the arts, the usual! I live a pretty quiet life with much of my time dedicated to work - I work a standard schedule - 9-5 ish with the occasional day working from home. I've been on LP for a few years and have met some really nice people who have stayed here when I was away. My house is really sweet and I feel lucky to live here but it's slightly higher than I can afford, so if I can share it with someone and not have to move that would be amazing!
