We are looking for someone or a couple to enjoy our beautiful bohemian oasis for some of July and/or all of August. Highlights include a private backyard (with a grill and a lawn), a music studio with a Steinway piano that works as an office too, a large bedroom, and windows in every room.
Dates are slightly flexible.
Our home is a first floor unit in a two story, 4-unit building that sits across from a park. There are 4 steps to get into the first floor entrance. Our landlord is a nice man who takes care of any maintenance problems (though they have been rare) and mows the lawn in the backyard once a month.
The apartment opens to the common area space with a living room and kitchen, separating the office & bathroom from the bedroom that faces our quiet street.
We have a dishwasher. There is coin-opperated washer/dryer in the basement, a few plants by the windows, natural light in every room, wifi, smart TV with all major subscriptions. Utilities are included in the rent.
Ridgewood is one of the coolest neighborhoods in NYC. We live in one of the largest historic districts in the country with amazing restaurants, cool bars, and everything you want from NYC except much quieter than most neighborhoods. We live across the street from a park called Rosemary's Playground, and 3 blocks from a public library.
The M train is a 3 or 4 minute walk away and the L train is a 10 minute walk so getting into Bushwick, Williamsburg or Manhattan is a breeze.
Our landlord doesn't allow most pets.
We're Melanie and David-- two musicians heading to Europe for the summer to play music.
We have a shoes-off household and like to keep things naturally tidy. We've been here 8 years and absolutely love it. Our landlord, Wes, is a nice polish man who is very responsive when we need him but we rarely need him for anything as he keeps the building in good shape.
The building is occupied by 30-40 year-old professionals. No one has kids, and everyone in the 4 units is kind and friendly. We love our building and our neighbors and have rented our apartment out before without any issues.
We'll be out of town but our building neighbors are friendly and helpful if you need anything and our landlord is responsive.
