Hi listers! I will be out of state caring for family in July and am hoping to connect with someone (or a couple) to make use of my apartment in Brooklyn Heights while I'm away.
You'll be on the 2nd floor (one set of stairs) of an old but well-kept building on a quiet, tree-lined street near Brooklyn Bridge Park (less than a 5-minute walk). There’s a great coffee shop and a laundromat across the street, a dreamy little Italian restaurant on the corner, and a short walk to shopping/groceries/restaurants/bars on Montague, Atlantic Ave. and Court Street.
The apartment has a full kitchen (with a large, courtyard-facing window where my plants live), bathroom, living area and a small but highly functional work/office space with an adjustable sit-stand desk.
The bedroom has a queen bed with a super comfy, organic bamboo hybrid pillow-top mattress and a street-facing window with a fire escape that stretches over to the living room window (see photos). There’s also a smart TV with Hulu, Max, Disney+, etc., wall-mounted in the bedroom.
The apartment is super clean and fully furnished (see photos) but uncluttered and plenty of open storage space as I've been spending a lot of time away helping family in recent months. I've cleared out the left half of the closet (built-in IKEA PAX system), two bedroom drawers and the entryway storage bench for your use.
I pay for electric, cooking gas and internet/Wi-Fi; those costs are included in the sublet price.
I do have some flexibility with the dates and am open to considering different timelines; let me know what you're looking for and we can discuss!
I’m a journalist-turned-analyst (she/her) who has been living in NYC for the past 10 years. I fell in love with and moved into this apartment/neighborhood in March 2021 and feel like I found my little slice of New York heaven. The building is well-maintained but retains that old charm; my neighbors are awesome (and relatively quiet); and I have a great relationship with the landlord/building manager. I'll be your go-to contact and will share his information for emergencies.
I've had nothing but great experiences on all sides of renting apartments/subleasing/subletting through Listing Project over the years and am so grateful for this community <3
I'm available to show the space in person through 6/30; if we're aligned to move forward, I'll have us sign/agree to a simple sublease agreement and you'll pay the agreed upon rent ($2,700/month +\- depending on the length of your stay), plus a $500 refundable security deposit.
