Hello!

I am looking for a clean and trustworthy subletter for my beautiful Alameda apartment while I am on sabbatical (July- August - September). Move-in/out dates are flexible.

About the Apartment:
Fully furnished, sun-filled 2-bedroom top floor apartment in a charming quadruplex centrally located in Alameda. A serene and cosy space to relax, work and enjoy the California summer away from the city chaos and noise (but a short ferry/BART/car ride from Oakland/Berkeley/SF).

Enjoy tree-lined streets, Victorian homes, and a friendly community where neighbors say hello. Hop on a bike to explore the beach, parks, and cool local spots—great restaurants, breweries, and more. It’s a quiet, walkable island with a small-town vibe and plenty to do!

-Clean counters and minimal personal belongings. No clutter!
-2 bedrooms — one is set up as a dedicated office.
-Main bedroom includes a comfy queen bed, TV and aircon
-Jack-and-Jill bathroom shared between the bedroom and office.
-Spacious, sunlit living room — perfect for relaxing or working.
-Huge kitchen with all cooking utensils you might need (truly a highlight and perfect for my morning yoga and stretching).
-Washer and dryer in-unit.
-Utilities are all included in the rent — no extra bills to worry about! Plus it includes a monthly visit from the cleaning lady.
Note: It’s on the top (1st) floor, so you’ll need to climb a short flight of stairs.

Location Highlights:
-Short walk to Alameda Beach and Park Street (restaurants, cafes, shops).
-Short bike ride to Alameda Point breweries.
-Around the corner: Chestnut Encinal Market, Blue Dot Café & Bakery, a nail salon, dry cleaner, and even a classic diner.
-5-minute drive to Safeway, Trader Joe’s, and Walgreens.
-Alameda’s historic Art Deco theater is just 3 blocks away!

Transportation:
-Less than 10-15 minute drive to the Alameda Ferry to SF/ Oakland and the Fruitvale BART.
-15 minutes to Oakland’s Redwood hiking trails.
-~20 minutes or less to downtown San Francisco.
-About 1 hr drive to Silicon Valley (for those in tech)
No car? No problem — public transit is reliable, and I can rent out my bike for a small fee.

You:
Looking for someone who will treat the space with care and love as much as I do while respecting our neighbors. I love furry animals, but they are not allowed. Couples will be considered but with an extra fee (+$400 mo).

I am a Brazilian/American Creative Producer who moved to the Bay from NY in 2020. I love art, design and spending time outdoors. Moving to the Bay gave me access to some of the most beautiful landscapes to explore while still being close to urban life. I take advantage of the long weekends to explore California and discover.

Long weekend drives I love: Yosemite, Bodega Bay, Guernville, Anderson Valley (wine!), Santa Cruz, Lake Tahoe, Mendocino.

Near hiking nature areas that I keep going back to: Mount Tamalpais (Mill Valley), Tilden Park (Berkeley), Redwood Regional Park, Joaquin Miller Park, Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
