I have lived in this one-bedroom since 2019, and I have truly loved living here. I'm currently living abroad for work for a few months, so I'm looking for someone to sublet.
The building is a pre-war brownstone on a beautiful street (W 76th between Riverside and West End). Only a half block from Riverside Park and a 15 minute walk to Central Park, and a short walk to the W 72nd St subway stop for the 1/2/3 lines. Several grocery stores (Fairway, Trader Joe's, Citarella, Zabar's) all under a 10 minute walk away.
The unit is on the 4th floor and it's walk-up, no elevator. My favorite feature is the south-facing windows, which means it's always bright and sunny, and the apartment faces the courtyard so there's no street noise.
The place is fully furnished, and it comes with all the kitchen appliances and pots/pans/dishes you'll need. Happy to also leave linens if you need. I also have some at-home workout equipment and a printer if you're interested.
There are 3 closets: 1 in the bedroom, 1 right when you enter the apartment, and a linen closet next to the bathroom. There are additional cabinets for storage above the closets.
Perhaps most importantly, the super is VERY responsive and solves any issues pretty much immediately.
(Apologies that the attached photos are a little messy; I have been traveling and not had the chance to take photos specifically to showcase the space. These were just on my camera roll!)
Though I put 7/1 - 1/31 as the sublet dates, I'm flexible. If you need the place longer, or if you want to shift the dates later, I'm happy to discuss it! The landlord just requires a minimum 6 months sublet, as they do not allow short-term arrangements.
I'm a woman in her late 30s who has worked in international development, product design, and venture strategy. I have recently founded a company that is redesigning strength training gear for women, and I am temporarily based in Vietnam to work with factories on product development. I also work a job at an climatetech consultancy part-time, remotely. For fun I participate in powerlifting, pole dancing, and scuba diving! I have lived in New York for 6 years.

The landlord is requiring that he approve the subletter and draft a sublease. So he will be asking for the following documents:
- Valid Driver's License or Passport
- Last 2 year's tax returns
- Proof of income
- Last 3 month's pay stubs
- Current Bank Statement
- Current Credit Check
Also, no pets.
Given that the unit is on the 4th floor of a walk-up, unfortunately this place would not be ideal for someone who has accessibility needs.
