My room in Hamilton Heights (in West Harlem just north of Columbia & close to CUNY) will be available to sublet in July. I will be gone July 3-August 3, but dates can be somewhat flexible. There might also be the possibility of taking over my lease in September, so please be in touch if that is of interest (although I will have to come back for the first two weeks of August).

I share this 2 Bed/2 Bath apartment with a neuroscience postdoc and a recent architecture MFA graduate. Both are in their late 20s/early 30s and are chill and respectful roommates. The apartment is very sunny 🌞, all appliances were updated a few years ago, and it has an in-unit dishwasher and washer/dryer (!!!). You're welcome to use all the kitchen devices. There will be window unit ACs in the living room and your bedroom.

Rent is $1400 per month (including wifi + utilities), and includes access to a private office (w/ a big street-facing window) shared with only one roomie who usually works on campus. You would be sharing a bathroom with one very neat & considerate female roommate. It's likely that she'll also be out of town for most/all of July, in which case you'll have the bathroom and office to yourself.

The apartment is 2 blocks from the 145th St. 1 train. It's also a short walk (~8-10 min) to the 145th St. A/C/D stop.

The area has several amazing parks nearby (Riverside, Riverbank, and St. Nicholas) and some great coffee shops, bars, and restaurants that are also walking distance. (I highly recommend Sweet Chef Bakery, Cocina Consuelo, the Honey Well, and Sugar Hill Cafe).

In the living room we also have:
+ a record player (with a vast vinyl library)
+ a big projector (equipped with Netflix, HBO, Hulu & more for great cinematic experiences)
+ a Nintendo Switch (equipped with only one game in which you play a marauding goose. I'm not really a video game person but this one is great)

You will be sharing with one postdoctoral researcher and one recent MFA grad. They are one man & one woman, both in late 20s/early 30s. They split their time working from home and campus, so we keep things quiet in the apartment during weekday work hours. In evenings we share the kitchen and the occasional glass of wine. :-)
