Hi there,
I will be away from NYC from June 7-15 on a hiking trip and wanted to offer my space to anyone spending a week in New York City. The apartment is a full one-bedroom with a comfy bed, a spacious, light-filled living room, and a great kitchen for cooking. It is a second floor walk-up in a pre-war building.
I have a washing machine, a drying rack, and clothes line for drying clothes. There are also many laundromats in the area. I also have a projector and screen for watching movies, which I'm happy to show you how to use. There is a desk for getting work done, and my kitchen has everything you should need for cooking. If you're anywhere near 5ft 3in tall, you are also welcome to use my bike :)
I'm two blocks from Morningside Park and ten blocks from Central Park. The neighborhood (Harlem/ Morningside Heights) has tons of great restaurants, cafes, and bars, and I'm right above a high-end grocery store, which has everything you'll need. There's also a Trader Joe's a few blocks away. My place is four blocks from the A/D (express) and B/C (local) lines. You can get into lower Manhattan in about 20 minutes.
Happy to host a single person or couple (the bed is a full, just for reference) who will water the plants once during their stay.
I'm a writer and educator originally from the Midwest.
Tenant
I will ask that you pay me the full cost of your stay up front. I will charge an additional $200 deposit, which I will return to you once I'm back in the apartment and see that everything is in good shape :)
You are welcome to bring your pet! I have a cat (who will not be there while you are there, of course), and I am happy to leave out her toys and treats. Although I will do a thorough clean, please note that if you are allergic to cats, you may struggle a bit!
