$5,500/month

Location

Upper West Side/Morningside Heights, New York

Available

July 4, 2025 - August 28, 2025

Size

1,200 sq. ft.

Welcome to our bright and colorful home! Our 1200-sq-ft apartment is on a high floor with north and south views, so it gets lots of light. Because it was gut renovated in 2020, everything is in great condition.

The main bedroom has a queen-size bed; the smaller bedroom has a twin bed.
The kitchen includes: microwave, dishwasher, waffle-maker, toaster, air fryer.
There are two A/C units: One serves the kitchen/dining/living room, and one is in the main bedroom.
There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms and in the office; two portable fans can be moved from room to room.
The en suite bathroom has a shower; the second bathroom has a bathtub and shower.
The apartment has a washing machine, dryer, and drying rack.
The windowed office has a large desk and a printer, as well as an electronic keyboard.

Public transit: The 1 train is half a block away (connecting to the 2/3 express at 96th St, two stops away); the B/C is three blocks away. Buses on the corners can take you to museums on Fifth Avenue or up to Riverbank State Park (which has swimming pools). Tennis courts are nearby in Riverside Park and Central Park.

Riverside Park, Morningside Park, and Central Park are all mere blocks away. There are two supermarkets on the corner, one that specializes in Asian products and one that is open 24 hours. (Or take the bus 15 blocks down to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.) Within four blocks are two pharmacies, two bookstores, excellent restaurants (we can provide a list of favorites), a New York Public Library, and a post office as well as UPS and FedEx. There are farmers' markets a few blocks north in front of Columbia University (on Thursdays and Sundays) and a couple blocks east next to Morningside Park (on Saturdays).

The neighborhood combines turn-of-the-century grandeur (our street is part of the Morningside Heights Historic District) and local flavor. Around the corner on Amsterdam Avenue you'll find the legendary Hungarian Pastry Shop, the West 111th Street People's Garden, and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, which has beautiful gardens open to the public on weekends.

Please don't hesitate to e-mail if you have any questions or would like to negotiate the dates.
