Hello! We have a room available in our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Bed Stuy apartment.
The room is furnished with a full size mattress, and wooden bed frame. The room is big enough to fit a table and lay out a yoga mat. There's 1 closet. It's got two big windows that face the backyard. From late March-late November there's a tree that blossoms and that's most of the view, still giving you a lot of sunshine and bringing in a nice breeze.
You will only share a bathroom with one of us, third bedroom has its own private bathroom.
The kitchen is fully equipped and opens out to the living room. There’s lots of natural light all throughout the apartment. As pictured, we have a pole that I got as a hobby during the pandemic, it's not currently being used but it's there if it interests you. The apartment is on the top floor of a 3 story walk up (2 flights). There are only two other tenants in the building (one per floor). Our street is very quiet, but one street parallel to us is Fulton Street and you can find anything you need there.
The closest train is the A/C, on Kingston Throop (around the corner, 2 minute walk) or Nostrand Ave (10 min walk). There are also two citi bike stations on opposite ends of the street. There’s a supermarket (Mr.Carrot) located around the corner with lots of vegan and organic products and there's another supermarket 3-4 blocks away with a gym across the street. No laundry in the building but two laundromats also around the corner on each side (again, everything you need in on Fulton).
We're looking for someone who is respectful, tidy, like minded and ideally works 9-5ish. Ideally you're in your late 20 or early 30s. Our home is a quiet, peaceful space for unwinding, not a party house. Looking for "feminine energy" in our home.
If you feel like you'd be a good fit or have any questions, send us a message.
Rent is $1,220 per month. Utilities included.
NO COUPLES. NO PETS.
If you're interested please respond to this post with a little bit about you and share your insta/socials. Let us know your work schedules, when you're usually home, how often you cook, etc. Thank you.
About your roomies:
My name is Linda, I grew up in Brooklyn and have lived in this apartment for a few years. I'm a Pilates instructor and I spend most of my time in the studio, early morning till around 8pm. I don't really cook, I leave early and I'm home late. I have a busy schedule and when I'm home I'm pretty quiet, occasionally watching a movie on the couch.
Anais just came from Philly. She does programming for a developer. She's usually off to work early in the morning and back around 6pm. Once or twice a week she works from home. She spends most of her time out of the apartment and is in bed by ten. Being new to New York (moved here in October) she's always out exploring the city and often out of town during the weekends. Super friendly but also likes to keep to herself.
We're both very clean and tidy, especially in our communal spaces. Our schedules have us out of the house a lot and that allows us to have the apartment to ourselves most of the time. Neither of us bring guests home or have *sleepovers* at our place. Looking for someone like minded that treats our space like their own and is independent.
