Our space is two full units divided into three studios and one shared area for ample art/supply storage (see floor plan) where we have fridges, a microwave, slop sink, chop saw, table saw, ladder, dollies, and lots of other tools. Each individual studio space is a little over 250 sqft and the space that’s opening up has its own sink and entrance. This is ideal for someone who doesn’t want to give up work space for storage.
There are many artists in the building, newly renovated bathrooms, hardwood floors, natural light, high ceilings, ceiling fans, a loading dock with a locked gate, elevator, mail room and roof access for lovely sunsets. We're on the 4th floor and our space is quiet and airy. We're close to lots of good Bushwick restaurants, coffee shops and bars. The rent is $1100, utilities are usually around $60/person/month. We’re looking for someone who can move in October 1st and commit to a year.
See photos and approximate floor plan - the green area is the available individual space, blue is our shared storage and common area.
Langdon (she/her) makes drawings and sculpture and teaches at Parsons and Pratt, Eric (he/him) is a jeweler. We’ve been sharing this space for seven years, we don’t work with toxic materials (and need to keep it that way), we are easygoing, quiet, focused and very respectful of each others’ studio time. But we also like to chat/laugh/help each other with ideas.
We have been renting this studio for seven years and in the building for over ten.
