Unit #1 at 91 St. James Place is a 1.5-bedroom, 1-bathroom home on the garden level of a brownstone on the most coveted block in Clinton Hill.
We finished a 6 year gut renovation at the end of 2024, and it feels fantastic. Enjoy modern comforts such as central heat and air conditioning, an in-unit washer and dryer, and backyard space.
Enter under the stoop, with space to store your bikes or strollers. An entry vestibule offers space for you to store your shoes and umbrellas.
The living room features two large windows, lights on dimmer switches, and plenty of space for your sofas, television, and dining table.
The kitchen has cabinets with recessed pulls, a butcher block countertop, and an induction range and oven. In the hallway, a large bathroom boasts terrazzo tile, towel hooks, and a deep soaking tub/shower combo. The laundry room, located just outside the bedroom.
The bedroom, which is located at the rear of the home, is cozy and quiet with a spacious closet and windows that overlook the backyard. The second room can function as either a home office or second bedroom, with a door leading to the backyard.
91 St James, which is between Greene Ave and Grand Ave, is just a magical block. Clinton Hill is famous for its Brownstone facades protected by the NYC Landmarks Commission, and this is one of the most special. Pratt campus is a down the block. Place de Fête, Leon & Sons, Emily Pizza, Stone Fruit, Aita, Otway and Otway Bakery, Locanda Vini & Olii, and Choice Cafe are just a few of the nearby restaurants, wine shops, and grocery stores that make this the most special neighborhood in Brooklyn.
91 St James is 2 blocks from the G, 3 blocks from the C, and minutes from Manhattan. But really? You don't need to go into Manhattan.
I'm a chef, restauranteur, father of two boys, and husband to an acupuncturist. I lived in NY for 20 years, 12 of those in Clinton Hill, where I ran a restaurant called The Finch in a space that is now Place de Fête, around the corner from 91 St James. We moved to Connecticut where I grew up during the pandemic to be closer to my family.
91 St James is a very special place to me. We bought it in 2018 and did a full gut renovation, working with terrific architects and builders, that we finally completed in 2024.
Be nice.
