Hi there! We are looking to sublet our apartment in Crown Heights for June and July 2026. We're hoping to find a couple or an individual to take good care of our artsy, eclectic space.

There's a decent-sized bedroom that contains a queen bed, a big desk, and two dresser/bookshelf combos. The bedroom also has two closets that we can clear out for you.

The living room is pretty spacious. There is a wall-mounted ladder desk, another small desk, a couch, and a 55" TV. The easel/painting setup in the photos would be taken down so you'd have more room. We have a small folding table that can be set up if you want to have a sit-down meal.

The kitchen is separate from the living room. We have a motley assortment of pots and pans, an instant pot, toaster oven, microwave, electric kettle, dishes, and silverware. Knives, cutting boards, all the basic stuff.

The bathroom is small but functional with a tub/shower combo.

The apartment is located on the second floor and there is no elevator. The front door does not open automatically.

We will be taking things with us and putting some others into storage, but we are looking for subletters who are okay with a very furnished apartment. Our books will stay on the bookshelves, for example (and feel free to read them)! We're happy to discuss details about what kind of space you need.

The neighborhood has a lot of families, but we're also right on Nostrand which has a bunch of stores/restaurants/things to do.

Transportation is great - we are less than a five minute walk to two train stations: President Street (2 and 5) and Nostrand Ave (3 and sometimes 4). Very easy to get into Manhattan.

We're about a 15-minute walk from the Botanic Gardens and the Brooklyn Museum, and if you keep walking down Eastern Parkway from there for about ten minutes, you'll hit the big Brooklyn Public Library and the Grand Army Plaza entrance to Prospect Park. It's a great place to be in the summer.

No dishwasher, no laundry. There's a small coin-operated laundry less than five minute walk away, and a number of others in the area. There are small grocery stores right nearby, and if we want cheaper prices, we just walk up Nostrand ten minutes or so to a bigger one.

We have two AC units. Utilities are included.

Please let us know if you have any questions!

About This Lister

We are two actors, Molly (she/her) and Wyndham (he/him) who cobble together a living through acting, painting, workshop-leading, and of course, waiting tables every now and then. We've lived in this apartment for 2.5 years and we love it. We're leaving for a couple months for out-of-town gigs/family stuff.

One or both of us will show the space. Happy to FaceTime if you're not in the city.

Rental requirements

We will show the apartment ASAP and hope to move quickly to draw up a sublease. Please have proof of income and references available.

We will ask for first month's rent ($2700 which includes utilities) plus a security deposit ($2592.90) to move in on June 1st, so $5292.90 up front. The second month's rent/utilities ($2700) is due by July 1st.

We will return the $2592.90 security deposit after moveout assuming there is no damage to the apartment.

We will be signing a sublease agreement and will need to send our building management photo IDs for the subletter(s).
