1 large bedroom with attached bathroom available in a 3 bed, 2 bathroom apartment in Bed-Stuy for March 1 move-in (possibly sooner). This is for a sublet/lease takeover. Monthly rent is $1,850.

The room will be unfurnished with shelving removed. Can easily fit a queen-sized bed, desk, dresser and bookshelves with room to spare. Two LARGE closets along one wall, with plenty of storage throughout the rest of the apartment. There is a wall AC unit that will be available that is currently stored in the closet for winter (current tenant uses their own unit). Heat and hot water included. Internet and electric is split between tenants and runs about $75 a month per person.

The bedroom and bathroom are at the back of the building on the same level as the kitchen and living room (1st floor, above ground level). The other two bedrooms and bathroom are on the 2nd floor. There’s an alley and community garden behind the building so it’s very quiet.

Building is on a one-way side street off the G train, a 5 minute walk to Myrtle-Willoughby or 10 minute walk to Bedford-Nostrand stops. There are a number of buses in the area that go to Bushwick, Williamsburg, Crown Heights and Downtown Brooklyn. Grocery and laundry both a block away. 3 blocks away from Herbert Von King Park, and a short walk to a number of coffee shops and restaurants.

We are looking for someone to be added to the lease to replace the current tenant who is moving out. We are currently on a month-to-month lease, hoping for someone who will be here for the next 3 months, possibly longer.

I am the current tenant who has been living here for the past 3 years. Moving into my own place, but am very sad to leave this space, as it's a great location at a great price!

The two remaining roommates are both women in their late 20s working in creative fields, with one working from home. Both have independent lives and interests, but also enjoy socializing with each other, watching tv, grabbing drinks or just chit-chatting. Will occasionally have friends over for dinner or small hang outs. They are hoping to find someone similar, who is also neat, tidy and respectful!
