I am offering a single, unfurnished bedroom (or two, read below) for a May 15 or June 1 move in with possible option to extend past November 30th. **

The available room(s) are in a four-bedroom, corner, prewar, apartment.

You will be sharing the house with just one other person, myself, a freelance writer, photographer, and bookseller. My room and office are adjoining.

I consider myself tidy, covid conscious, and keep a chill and quiet lifestyle. I love a good dinner party or low stakes gather, but this is not a place to throw down if you catch my drift. Plants and alcohol welcome. Weed, candles, and incense not so much. #allergic

In general, I’m looking for someone who aligns with the above and hopefully is even neater than I am, has a full time job, can pay rent on time, and is willing to share in keeping the apartment clean and comfortable.

The Main Room For Rent ($1800)

Beautiful sunny room with high ceilings, two closets, a window looking out onto a tree-lined Park Slope street, and wooden floors.

The 'Back Room' Also For Rent (+$200) ***

A small room with a single, large floor to ceiling window... I've seen folks turn this into their home office, art studio, or small bedroom that can fit a full mattress and tall dresser.

FYI, if you only want the main room, aim is to treat the back room as a communal space for multipurpose use like yoga/fitness, photography, crying, crafts, or even just to hang dry laundry... that we can BOTH use at any time.

The Apartment

- Incredible location. Steps away from all that Park Slope has to offer.
- Beautiful, corner, pre-war building with tons of natural sunlight.
- Great sunny fire escape facing the street. Perfect spot to soak up the sun, people watch, or get lost in a good book.
- Hardwood floors, 12-foot punched-tin ceilings, art deco accents (pretty light fixtures, etc)
- Large, sunny kitchen equipped with a dishwasher.
- One shared bathroom with excellent hot water system and strong water pressure.
- Bright and clean living room.
- Walk to Prospect Park, Barclays Center, Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn Museum, and Brooklyn Botanic Gardens all under 10 minutes.
- Blocks away from many grocery stores including Whole Foods Associated, and Union Market.
- Restaurants and shops everywhere you turn.
- Easy train access (closest stop is R at Union Street), walking distance to Atlantic, 9th Street, and Bergen stops.

RENT:

Monthly rent is $1800 + split utilities ($2000 + split utilities if also renting the Back Room)
Utilities = Electricity, Gas, Internet, House Supplies

** Given the economy and housing market, I suspect as the lease holder my rent will be going up significantly. If that is to happen at the end of the year, there will be a rent increase past the six month mark for both of us.
*** Only the Main Room ($1800) or Main Room + Back Room ($2000) are for rent.
