I'm looking to sublet my second bedroom through the winter, but am also open to shorter stays. The apartment has great sound separation between the rooms, with the living room, kitchen, and bathroom between them. And an entrance to your room directly from the hallway, as well.
The room comes furnished with a bed and desk. There is ample closet space, and two windows that face the street. In the back of the apartment is our private backyard garden, which is only accessible through my room, but I'm more than happy to share.
The apartment is located between the Kosciuszko J stop and Central M stop. Smoking weed inside the apartment is OK but no cigarettes or other drugs plz.
If interested, please email a short description of yourself, what brings you to NY, and a link to your social media profile, if you have one. If all checks out we can do a little call to talk details.
I'm an artist and graphic designer in my early 40s. I grew up around Chicago playing in punk bands and skateboarding. I moved here in 2019 after getting my MFA in Philly and now work as an art director and designer. I work from home most days and keep it pretty low key. IG is below if you're curious.
I'm very clean and like to keep clutter to a minimum. You will never catch me with a sink full of dishes or stacking up the trash to avoid taking it out.
Most days I work on my laptop, cook a simple meal, listen to podcasts, and chill in my garden. I'm a night owl but drink very little, and smoke weed a few times a week. In my spare time I work on art, go to openings, grow plants, and run a little Etsy store.
Requires a deposit to hold your spot, and full amount upon arrival / key exchange. The deposit is returned once you depart, assuming nothing is destroyed.
Would have to be quiet enough to keep it on the DL with the building.
