Ideal for small families, two roommates, or anyone seeking a one bedroom with office space. Our subletters in the past have been folks on sabbatical or temporary contracts, people trying out the neighborhood, or renovating their home.

The main bedroom has a queen bed, closet, and a large dresser. The second bedroom has a full-size sofa bed, desk, closet, credenza, and blackout shades. The living room has a sofa and two arm chairs, the eat-in kitchen is equipped w/ a table & 4 chairs, dishes & cookware and an old school electric stove.

Our apartment has hard wood floors and gorgeous sunlight, right on the up-and-coming Franklin Street with boutique shops, bakeries, restaurants and bars. It's a lively neighborhood. Dbl pane windows keeps it relatively quiet, but not ideal for sensitive sleepers. Friendly neighbors, old building, attentive super.

3 blocks to Transmitter Park on the water front, 15 min walk to Williamsburg. There are two supermarkets 1 block away in either direction, and an organic grocery 3 blocks away.

G Train is 1 block away (20 minutes to Manhattan with connections to L, E, M and 7 trains), and the East River Ferry is 3 blocks away (5 min to Midtown and 30 min to Wall Street).

The apartment is equipped with hi-speed WIFI (Verizon Fios).

PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR HOME LACKS THE FOLLOWING AMENITIES:
- microwave or dishwasher
- television or cable
- no laundry in the building (closest laundromat is a few blocks away)
- elevator (apartment is a 4th floor walk-up)

Sam is a documentary filmmaker and Catherine is a choreographer, and we have an 8 year old. We've been tenants in this apartment for 12 years. We travel frequently for work, and will be based in Europe for the next 9 months. We look forward to leaving our apartment in loving hands. We always find great people through the Listings Project!
