"PLEASE NOTE: TWO CATS LIVE IN THIS APARTMENT"
I'm traveling this summer and am looking for someone to sublet my home. I love my place very much and I'm looking for someone who will treat it with care.
On the parlor level there is a plant-filled dining/living room that looks out onto the front garden and a quiet street, a second living room that I use for movie nights, and a spacious bedroom with ensuite bathroom. On the garden level is the kitchen, laundry room, backyard, and second bathroom (with tub). Hardwood floors and beautiful original detail throughout.
The dining/living room features a gorgeous old fireplace with hand carving, a simple wooden dining room table, and a big comfy couch to lounge on. I pay a lot of attention to lighting so I think you'll find that it's a warm and inviting atmosphere in the evenings.
The bedroom comes with a queen bed, large closet with ample storage space, and antique hardwood desk. It has two windows in the bedroom and one in the bathroom that look out onto a spacious and green backyard. The bathroom is clean, bright, and airy. Original historic details in the bedroom include crown molding and an ornate fireplace/mantle.
You will have access to the back and front yard. The backyard is lovely and has ample room to garden in, if you enjoy that sort of thing. The house also includes a high-quality, in-unit washer/dryer, eat-in kitchen with brand new appliances, including a beautiful stove and kitchen island. We're in a prime Bed-Stuy location, just a few blocks away from Saraghina, Barb's, and Zigzag and walking distance from the public library, parks, and A/C train.
Please note that while you will not need to take care of the two cats in the apartment, they will be here while we are away. If you're allergic to cats, this may not be the place for you. They are very friendly and sweet.
You would be renting both the lovely parlor and garden level of this three-story brownstone between 6/28-7/17.
Between 6/21-6/28 the parlor level apartment is available ($2,000/month prorated) and you would share the place with my housemate and her daughter, who live on the garden level. You will still have access to the kitchen, laundry room, and backyard during that time.
Between 7/17-7/30, you would share the place with me and would stay in the garden level ($2,000/month prorated).
This house is a true find and I think you'll be pleased with your stay!
I'm a middle school teacher and will be on summer break. I treat my space with a lot of respect and care and am seeking a responsible subletter to do the same. I've been living here for three years and I really love the place. I use she/her pronouns.
Seeking someone who is kind, impeccably clean, LGBTQ+ friendly, and respectful of the space. When you write, please also tell me a little about yourself and your interests - what brings you to Brooklyn, and what you're like as a tenant. No pets allowed, no exceptions.
