A 2 bedroom, 2.5 Bath garden apt in a newly renovated building on a quiet block in Bed-Stuy. The apt has access to a large private backyard and an additional basement level living room. The apt is heated/cooled by 4 split units and has in unit washer/dryer in the kitchen area.
The apt is located on Greene Ave between Garvey and Throop. Two blocks to Herbert Von King Park and a 15-20 mins walk to the G, A, C, J and M. Street parking is also pretty easy. It is located in a 4 unit brownstone where all the other tenants are owners.
The apt is ground level so is easily accessible. The ground level entrance is primarily used solely by me. I've only been living here for a year so it does have some quirks, but it is a large, comfortable, clean living space with high end appliances and is very private and quiet. I would hope the subletter would be a responsible and neat tenant. As all the occupants of the building are owners, we have a good, caring relationship and look out and respect each other.
I am planning on moving overseas for a grad program and will be gone for two years, but am at least looking for a commitment from August 2026 - May 2027. I will come back between academic years (Mid May - End of July).
I am the owner of the unit. The second bedroom is used as my music studio, but I will be taking some of the gear with me. It would be best to be used as an office. The basement is a comfortable space to house guests.
It's important to me that the person occupying the space is clean and responsible. I won't be checking in frequently to inquire, but a basic level of cleanliness and respect for the space would go a long way in making this arrangement work.
The subletter would be required to sign a sublease agreement
We are a pet friendly building and I myself have two cats. Would consider dogs on a case by case basis.
