Our family home, a peaceful and green oasis in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, will be available for a short-term stay from July 2th to August 14th. The fully furnished apartment occupies the first (garden level) and the 2nd floor of a classic brownstone where original features have been preserved. Nature is all around with a vegetable garden on a terrace and a delightful backyard with fruit trees along with a covered patio and BBQ. Inside, guests can enjoy 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large playroom and an office. The kitchen appliances are new, the home was updated recently and there is central A/C. It is a perfect place to relax after a busy day around the city!
There is a variety of restaurants in the neighborhood, including favorites like Saraghina, Peaches, L'Antagoniste and Chez Oscar as well as friendly coffee spots and community gardens. The apartment is conveniently located by two major bus lines, B26 and B46, providing easy access to downtown Brooklyn and other popular Brooklyn neighborhoods. With the A/C and J/M/Z subway lines a 10 mins walk away, going to Manhattan is a breeze.
Note that fiber internet is available and we have a screen and projector that you can connect to your computer but there is no TV.
About This Lister
This is the home I share with my husband and 10 year old which we are looking to sublet while we are travelling to see family. I have been in the neighborhood for over 17 years and we are involved in a community garden and love to travel!

Rental requirements
We are looking for a responsible and gardening loving tenant who would enjoy our home and could tend to our garden while we are away. In exchange for some supplemental watering (most of the garden is on an automated irrigation system), you can enjoy your own fresh veggies! We would prefer renting for the entire period but will consider shorter stays (minimum one week, $1,400/week) if you are visiting or have family visiting New York.
We would appreciate if you could tell us a bit about yourself in your email. For a sublet of the full duration, we require references, the first month rent and a deposit of $1,000. For shorter term durations, we can discuss an appropriate deposit amount. A cleaning fee of $140 will be automatically deducted from the security deposit, with the reminder returned promptly if the apartment is in order.
